MANGANO: Long Island International FIlm Expo Recognized in the Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals

Mineola, NY – Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano is proud to announce that the Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) has just been named one of the 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the world by MovieMaker Magazine.

MovieMaker Magazine has featured the Long Island International Film Expo in their Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals of 2013.  This year the winners were chosen by the readers of MovieMaker Magazine based on their own personal experiences and opinions.  To view the full list of winners and nominees visit, www.moviemaker.com

“The Long Island International Film Expo is yet another way we market and promote Nassau County as a filming destination,” said County Executive Mangano.  “By having filmmakers from all over the globe attend, we are able to show them available filming sites as well as generate dollars for our local economy.”

LIIFE will be held from July 9th – 17th, 2014 at the Bellmore Movies and will include screenings of hundreds of short and feature-length independent films as well as documentaries, animations, student films, and music videos.  There are informative and entertaining panels with industry experts, celebrities in attendance, parties, filmmaker Q & As, and plenty of networking opportunities for those in the industry or film enthusiasts in general.
